Rise of the Apes: Unveiling a World Where Primates Reign

Experience a thrilling glimpse into a world turned upside down in the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes trailer Witness the rise of the apes as they take control of Earth in this highly anticipated sequel

The recently released first trailer of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes showcases a world where apes hold dominance. This franchise, which was rebooted, began with Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011. It was followed, albeit confusingly, by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in 2014 and concluded with War for the Planet of the Apes in 2017.

The trilogy centered on Caesar, and when his journey concluded, it seemed like the conclusion of that specific story. However, it turns out the story wasn't finished, as Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019 and revealed a new sequel titled Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The fourth installment of the rebooted Apes films will be released on May 24, 2024, and you can watch the trailer below.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes trailer introduces earth where apes are on top

Here’s the first trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes:

The trailer begins with a voiceover, presumably that of Caesar's son, Cornelius, who says, "When I sleep, I have visions of peculiar nature... not reminiscences. Novel things. I perceive everything."

He is informed, "That's not all." The subsequent scenes depict swift action, featuring apes mounted on horses as they hunt humans. Later, they are seen making their way towards a massive abandoned ship stranded on a beach.

The trailer concludes with an enraged apparent tyrant triumphantly exclaiming, "What a splendid day!" to his fellow apes.

What is the new Apes movie about?

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is described by 20th Century Studios as a film that brings a fresh perspective to the global, epic franchise. Set in a future where apes have become the dominant species, living in harmony, while humans dwindle in the shadows. The movie follows the journey of a young ape who embarks on a perilous quest, challenging everything he knows about the past and forcing him to make choices that will shape the destiny of both apes and humans.

Content revision:

Owen Teague portrays the character of Cornelius in the cast, which also includes William H. Macy, Diechen Lachman, Freya Allen, Peter Macon, Kevin Durand, Eka Darville, Neil Sandilands, Travis Jeffery, and Sara Wiseman.
